Jules Filicia has long been considered a highly strategic, conceptual leader in the advertising industry with a steady, experienced hand integrating creative, business development, and client management while building, growing and running a marketing firm and its brand accounts. Filicia and his adept team of industry experts at Hells Kitchen have created multi award-winning marketing programs for a diverse group of clients including Asurion, Tabasco, Alger, Phelps Hospital, The CFA Institute and Tequila Avion.
Before founding Hells Kitchen Advertising, Filicia spent 8 years with Young & Rubicam Brands as SVP, Creative Director. His background in both advertising and direct marketing has proved invaluable as he led integrated marketing efforts that built brand equity and drove record sales. During this time, he led the AT&T account, the largest account in the New York office, and, for the first time in Y&R’s history, partnered to oversee creative across multiple disciplines. This is where he led some of the most successful acquisition campaigns in AT&T history. AT&T’s introduction of their web and phone bundled program resulted in an award winning creative campaign as well as receiving so many calls it shut down call centers, holding, to this day, a record for the most successful campaign in AT&T history.
The creation of Young & Rubicam’s Team AT&T and the success of the AT&T business remains a test model for future clients.
Filicia was later tapped by the MDC Group to launch and develop a new agency, Frank, a division of Margeotes Fertitta Powell that had an Accountable focus. He led Sun Com, their largest client, as well as bringing other award-winning clients to the team including US Trust and St. Vincent’s Hospital.
Jules has created award winning integrated marketing programs for a diverse number of blue chip clients including American Express, Cannon, Citibank, Guinness, Ryder, Seagram’s and Pfizer. With an extensive background in product and new campaign launches for both B2B and B2C, designed to drive clients business without losing their creative edge.
Jules worked at Ogilvy & Mather and DCA Advertising creating multimedia-advertising campaigns. He has a B.F.A. in Advertising Design from Syracuse University,and splits his time between New York City and Wainscott, NY with his wife and two daughters.
